MEDICAL CERTIFICATE

If you cannot use our certificate, we accept other certificates with the mention that the participant’s current fitness status “does not present any indication against the practice of competing in a 100km walk”. It has to be dated no more than one year before the trail. Warning, this certificate is mandatory

EQUIPMENT THAT MUST CARRY ALL PARTICIPANTS

  • A backpack
  • A water bottle (or Camelbag) minimum 1.5 litre. Taps will be available at each checkpoint.
  • Food of your choice (cereal bars, dried fruit etc.)
  • At least three mobile phones per team plus if possible spare batteries or chargers
  • A safety vest (yellow or fluorescent orange with reflective strips) for the night walk
  • A headlamp for night walking and a spare set of batteries
  • An emergency kit (one per team); you can find these in supermarkets (usually containing antiseptic spray, precut bandages, elastic tape, adhesive tape, gloves)
  • An emergency blanket
  • Walkers map book (given at Registration on Friday)
  • A GPS per team (distributed before the start).

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT

    • Walking poles. Our partner TSL Outdoor has designed Oxfam poles which are available from the Oxfam shop
    • Several pairs of socks
    • Compression socks
    • Sun protections: hat, cream, glasses
    • Lip balm
    • Toilet paper
    • A microfibre towel
    • A swimsuit (for communal showers) and flip flops (to air your feet at checkpoints).
